Nyonikayiphumuli Savings and Credit CO-Operative, is open to all members of the public who qualify for to join. Even though it was founded by the government employees from the Economic Planning, Central Statistics Department, Finance and Public Service in 1994. Nyonikayiphumuli later opened its common bond to all Civil Servants and the public at large.
Thus our clientele base is however not limited to:

  • Eswatini Revenue Authority Employees
  • Private Sector Employees
  • Individuals
What makes one a member?

Our Members

For one to be a member at Nyonikayiphumuli Savings and Credit Co-Operative, one should be a person who, being qualified for admission to membership:

  1. Have signed the application for registration, paid the admission fee and purchased at least one share.
  2. One should have a good character.
  3. One should be above 18 years of age.

Joining Requirements

Admission Fees
One should pay a E200.00 admission fee, which could be amended from time to time
We also have a ONCE OFF share capital of E2 000.00.
Annual Subscription
As a member one is expected to pay an annual subscription fee of E125.00.
Ordinary Savings
Members can have an ordinary savings account in which a member pays at least a non-withdrawable monthly fee of E200.00 in it.
Beketsala Savings
In Beketsala Savings a member can save a minimum of E150.00 monthly, this account is accessable after 5 years
School Savings
In School Savings a member can save a minimum of E150.00 monthly which is withdrawable after 4 years.

Autonomy & Independence

Nyonikayiphumuli is an autonomous, self-help organization controlled by its members. If we enter into agreements with other organizations, including governments, or raise capital from external sources, we do so on terms that ensure democratic control by our members and maintain our co-operative autonomy.

Nyonikayiphumuli savings and credit co-operative serve its members most effectively and strengthen the co-operative movement by working together through local, national, regional, and international structures.

Education, Training & Information
Nyonikayiphumuli provide education and training for their members, elected representatives, managers, and employees so they can contribute effectively to the development of our co-operative. They inform the general public -paticularly young people, about the nature and benefits of co-operation.
Concern For Community

We work for the sustainable development of our communities through policies approved by the general meeting.

Voluntary & open membership

We are a voluntary organization, open to all persons who are able to use our services and willing to accept the responsibilities of membership, without gender, social, racial, political or religious discrimination.

Democratic member control

We are a democratic organization controlled by our members, who actively participate in setting our policies and making decisions. Me and women serving as elected representatives are accountable to the membership. In our co-operative, members have equal voting rights (one member, one vote), and we are organized in a democratic manner.

Members Economic Participation

Our members contribute equitably to, and democratically control, the capital of our co-operative. At least part of that capital is usually the common property of our co-operative. Our members usually receive limited compensation, if any, on capital subscribed as a condition of membership. Our members are allocated surpluses for any or all of the following purposes:

  • Developing our co-operative, possibly by setting up, reserves, part of which at least would be indivisible.
  • Benefit our members in proportion to their transactions with the co-operative.
  • Supporting our activities approved by the membership.
